Sam Jevon x The LUSH Guide to Knot Wrap

Submit to Love legend Sam J touches down at LUSH’s flagship Oxford Street store to see her work published in a new book celebrating the artists and stories behind LUSH’s iconic gift wraps…

Exciting news from our Art Studio, Submit to Love…

Yesterday, Thursday 23rd July, Studio legend Sam Jevon touched down at LUSH’s flagship Oxford Street store to see her work, Satellite of Love, featured in the pages of The LUSH Guide to Knot Wrap – a new book celebrating the artists and stories behind Lush’s much-loved reusable gift wraps.

Originally part of Lush’s 2025 Valentine’s Day collection, Sam’s design was printed on 100% recycled materials and grew out of an Out of This World project here at Headway London. The artwork captures a cast of characters gazing skyward as a satellite beams down waves of love – a message that’s unmistakably Sam.

As Sam explains in the book:

“In the studio we had a project on the go called Out of this World and that made me think of spaceships. I wanted to draw people rather than aliens, so I decided to have the people looking up at the satellite, sending love vibrations from the studio, ’cause love is at the heart of who we are.”

Seeing Sam’s work and story celebrated in print was a truly out-of-this-world moment, and a reminder of just how far creativity can travel when given the chance.

As a thank you, the amazing Oxford Street crew treated us to a full tour of the store, and generously gifted the team a selection of goodies to take home and play with.

Naturally, Sam – our self-declared Queen of Wonky – couldn’t resist expanding her royal portfolio as she filled up her basket. By the end of the visit, she’d also been crowned Queen of Bubbly, Queen of Sparkly, and Queen of Fluttery) 👑✨🫧🦋

A huge thank you to the authors and publishers of the book (Jade Chadwick, Suzie Hackney, Maria Feast-Vine) and wider LUSH team for such a warm welcome and for continuing to champion artists and their stories.

And an even bigger thank you to Suzie, who first visited us as at Headway London in 2024, and paved the way to where we are today with the collaboration. Throughout every stage and iteration of the process, from first meeting to shop shelf, Suzie involved Sam fully in the design process…  listening to Sam’s feedback and suggestions, and even bringing in a new background pattern for the wrap as per her vision, without hesitation.

Seeing Satellite of Love take its place among the constellation of other Knot Wrap designs is a wonderful reminder of what can happen when creativity, community and opportunity align.

We’re over the moon to be part of the journey and can’t wait to see where this creative partnership takes us next. 🚀💫✨
