We are looking for a Peer Researcher to join our Research Team. As a Peer Researcher you will be part of the project team completing service evaluation within our Day Service. You will be involved in planning and facilitating research groups, planning the practical elements of the evaluation within the Day Service and reporting on data gathered throughout the project.
 
This is a collaborative role, where you will work alongside other team members and our community to ensure the evaluation is impactful and inclusive.

We are seeking a motivated and skilled Neuro-Occupational Therapist to join our growing Therapy Service Team. You will provide neuro-occupational therapy assessment, treatment and rehabilitation for members with acquired brain injury (ABI) across Headway London’s services, Enfield Community Service and Private Therapy service. Your role will involve supporting members to maximise independence, participation, wellbeing and quality of life through person-centred, goal focused rehabilitation, delivered in centre-based, community and home environments.
 

The post holder will work collaboratively with members, carers, staff and external organisations, providing advice, recommendations, training and support to promote successful engagement in daily living, education, employment, leisure and community participation.

This is an exciting opportunity to join a distinctive and values-driven organisation. We are seeking a new Treasurer to join the Board of Trustees and play a crucial role in supporting the organisation’s sustainable future. While prior knowledge of brain injury is not required, the Treasurer is expected to demonstrate an interest in  brain injury, as well as in the Headway community, and to share the organisation’s mission and values.

The Treasurer will lead on the financial strategy, work closely with the Director of Finance, ensuring that financial insight informs the Board’s strategic thinking. This will include thorough pre-review of financial reports ahead of each Board meeting, chairing Finance & Audit Committee meetings, and presenting financial reports to the Board and at the AGM.

The role holder, will support the Board in fulfilling its responsibilities for the charity’s ambitious strategy and governance. They will work collaboratively with fellow Trustees and provide guidance to the Director of Finance and Chief Executive on the strategic management of finances.

We are looking to grow our Community Support Worker team, with a Cover Community Support Worker. You will work one-to-one with survivors in their own homes and the local community throughout Headway London’s 13 borough catchment area. Cover work will be available on an occasional basis and as required by the service.
 
You’ll help survivors to develop support plans to enable them to achieve their goals and live their life in the way they want to.  You will follow existing support plans to provide support to manage activities at home, maximise opportunities and choices, support wellbeing and provide advocacy.

We are looking for volunteers!

Volunteers are a big part of our community. They work alongside our team, spend time with our members and get involved in art, cooking, music and gardening.

About a third of our volunteers have a brain injury and bring valuable understanding and experiences to the role. Others are looking for a relaxed environment to socialise or are interested in learning more about brain injury and the complexities of living with a disability.

We are excited to offer Work Experience opportunities for students 16 years old and older.

The Work Experience will take place over two weeks, Monday to Friday, from 10am to 3pm. 

You will be based at our main centre in Haggerston, where we provide a range of services for people living with brain injury.

You will get the opportunity to join our projects, support our members, take part in fun and our creative activities and learn about brain injury.
